Short Bio of Yun Wang
Yun Wang obtained her BS on Computer Software from Nanjing University in 1989, and both Master and PhD degrees of Engineering on Computer Network from Southeast University in 1994 and 1997, respectively. She joined Southeast University in 1997. She was a post-doctoral researcher at IRISA-INRIA, France from 1999 to 2000. She was a senior researcher at UT Dallas, USA in 2001 and a research fellow at FAU, USA in 2007-2008. Now she is a full professor and Deputy Dean of School of Computer Science & Engineering, Southeast University. Her research interests are distributed systems, fault tolerance, sensor networks and scheduling issues. She has undertaken more than 20 research projects supported by NSF China, 863 program and international joint programs, etc. She has published one book and more than 80 peer-reviewed papers on journals and conference, including IEEE TOC, Science in China, JCST, INFOCOM, ICDCS, DSN and LCN. She owned 1 patent. She won two first-class prizes of Advanced Science & Technology from Ministry of Education and Committee of Military Science & Technology, China, respectively. She owned the honors of New Century Excellent Talents in University from Ministry of Education, China, in 2004 and Distinguished Talents from Jiangsu Province, China, in 2006. |
